The Perfect Fur Vest...

10.27.2016

Last year around this time a major trend occured and instantly I fell in love.  I don't know what it was but as soon as I saw fur vests, the lover of all things warm and cozy in me just knew that I needed a faux fur vest.  I found one on the Nordstroms website and came within a few seconds of buying it many times but for some reason I hesitated.  My biggest hesitations were always...

I'm totally going to get judged for wearing a fur vest... Bring on the comments from Conner and my brothers! I'm pretty sure an exact sentence from my brother's mouth was "What did you have to kill to make that vest Maddie??

I also doubted whether it was worth the money to buy a vest that might be a trend and would definitely not be an everday closet staple.  Because buying a super cheap looking fur vest is almost worse than not having a fur vest in my opinion.

Well flash forward to a couple of weeks ago and I was out and about shopping in Old Navy with a few friends and I came accross this beautiful vest.  It was soft, seemed pretty high and quality and drum roll please (!!!!!) it was only $20 on sale ahh.  I did a happy dance and well I maybe bought two of them, one in this color and one in a lighter color.

This outfit is super simple but I feel like it's the best way to pair a faux fur vest.  I'm not a super flashy person so this plain striped tee from Banana Republic and my fur vest along with a simple pair of booties really completed the look.  I love glamorous looking pieces and this vest fit the bill while still being neutral.

If you like anything from this look and want to shop any part of it, they are all in the bottom of this post.  I linked a bunch of other fun and similar things! Hope you all have a great end to your week!

Mixing Fall Colors into your Wardrobe...

10.21.2016

It's that time of the year when the leaves start to turn and it starts to get a little chilly outside.  But even if it hasn't cooled off, by this time of the year I'm ready to pull out my fall colors and start dressing the part.  I'm all about making things simple so when I find something I love, I like to find a million ways to wear it.  This is totally the case with plum, army green and leopard print.  These will make your fall style a breeze, I promise!!

Plum has become my go-to pop of color for this fall season.  It's nice it can be easily mixed into an everyday outfit.  If you look around, every store has plum- shoes, tops, bags, anything you can imagine these days!! I love this plum bag, and while I'm not normally a Michael Kors fan... Oh my lanta do I love this bag!! It is sturdy and structured for work but also can be used with the crossbody strap for everyday use.

Army green is another fall color that has become a staple over the past couple of years.  I find that it's the easiest to pair because while it brings color to an outfit, it really acts more as a neutral.  This army green jacket from BP has become a closet staple because it can be paired over almost any sweater or tee for a casual but cozy vibe.

While the last thing isn't a fall color, leopard print has become like a fall essential in my wardrobe.  It's funny because that isn't normally my style but there is something about rich fall colors with a little leopard print mixed in that I think just looks extremely trendy and fun! My flats are a pair of lucky brand ones for a more casual look but in the widget below I will link a few other fun pairs.

I hope you guys enjoyed this outfit! You might see this a lot because it has quickly become one of my go-to outfits.  As always, everything is linked down below and will direct you to the site so definitely check out some of these fun things :)

Simple Fall Outfit...

10.09.2016

This past weekend I went with a bunch of friends to go apple picking which was super fun & delicious (I mean who doesn't love walking down the rows while eating an apple or two!).  Thought I would shoot a few pictures of my outfit because it was super simple and easy to re-create for any fall day!  My hat is from Target and let me tell you... I would TOTALLY recommend! It's super comfy and light weight.  Also these booties are amazing and easy to transition from Summer to Fall with the side cutouts.

This is such a simple outfit but gets you in the festive spirit so definintely don't hesitate to re-create! I will have everything linked below if I can find it! Found a similar Madewell flannel on Sale (WHOOO!)

Hope you enjoyed this post & this outfit!

Love Always,
M
